MAISON MARGIELA
Maison Margiela Boutique Project with Turkey Roman Travertine Stone For the Maison Margiela boutique project, Turkey Roman Travertine was extensively used across both exterior and interior spaces, including the façade, interior wall cladding, flooring, staircases, display shelves, reception counters, and custom stone furniture. The project aimed to create a unified and refined retail environment with warm beige tones and natural travertine textures throughout the store. Project Overview Project Name: Maison Margiela Boutique Project Time: 2024 Project Material: Turkey Roman Travetine Application: Wall, Flooring, Staircase, Countertops, Furniture I. Project Background and Challenges As a natural travertine material, Turkey Roman Travertine requires careful control during production and fabrication. One of the main challenges was maintaining consistent color and texture while avoiding visible color shading between different slabs and batches. Since travertine contains natural pores and voids, all holes needed to be repaired in advance to achieve a cleaner finished appearance. The project also included curved surfaces, custom-shaped fabrication, and stone honeycomb composite panels, which required high-precision processing and installation control. In addition, large-format slabs needed detailed layout planning before production to ensure the final visual flow of the stone pattern throughout the space. II.Project Highlights ★ Full-Space Travertine Application Turkey Roman Travertine was applied throughout the boutique, including: Exterior façade tiles, Interior wall cladding, Flooring, Staircases, Display shelves, Reception counters, Custom stone furniture ★ Travertine Surface and Protection Treatment To improve the durability and finish quality of the material, several treatments were applied during production:Polished finish, Travertine hole repairing, Waterproof sealing treatment. Backup slabs prepared for future maintenance and replacement. ★ Curved Fabrication and Honeycomb Composite Panels The project included multiple curved and custom-shaped stone applications. Some areas used stone honeycomb composite panels to reduce weight while maintaining the natural stone appearance and structural stability. The fabrication process required precise cutting, shaping, and assembly to match the boutique’s architectural details. ★ Mock-Up and CAD Support Before mass production, Goldtop Stone provided mock-up previews and layout simulations for the client. With support from our team of five professional CAD designers, the stone layout, pattern direction, and installation details were reviewed in advance to help optimize the final visual effect and reduce onsite adjustments. III. Project Outcome The completed project successfully showcased the application of natural travertine in a luxury retail environment.
